Biography

Tomas Meijer received the M.Sc. degree (Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in 2018. His M.Sc. graduation work was on ‘Adaptive port-Hamiltonian discretization of distributed parameter systems’. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Control Systems Technology group within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at TU/e. His research interests include model predictive control of large-scale thermomechanical systems subject to uncertainty as well as distributed parameter systems with a particular focus on structure preserving spatial discretization techniques.
